The sold out event took place on 18/02/12. Story Campus is looking for additional international partners to work on developing an annual series of events in different countries.

Recent recommendations.

“David is a first rate executive who is highly skilled in organising and delivering workshops, seminars and presentations. I would recommend him without reservation”

Paul Brett. Prescience Film Finance. (The King’s Speech, Bailout, Harry Brown)

“As Industry Development Manager for the BFI London Film Festival I have worked with David on a number of editions of the festival, firstly when he was CEO of the New Producers Alliance and latterly as head of advance films.

I have always appreciated David’s creative input into events we have done together as part of the festival’s industry programme. I can always rely on him to suggest areas of film making which require a new focus or which would benefit from re-visiting via a workshop or panel event.

David has a high degree of knowledge of the industry and the skills to put to this to good use. The festival is keen to offer training and development opportunities for its industry delegates especially those who are just entering the industry for the first time and David has always been very helpful and supportive of anything we do to realise this.

I would also praise his reliability in delivering events – there is never any doubt that when we work with David that there will be any problems in the organising and delivery of them. Furthermore, he also has a large pool of contacts in the industry which means we are able to draw on them to provide top level speakers and participants in anything we choose to do with him.

I would without hesitation recommend David and advance films as a valuable partner and collaborator.”

Nigel Cross. Industry Development Manager. BFI London Film Festival.

“David did a fabulous job for our festival! Such a professional in everything he does.”

Sarah Hoch. Directora Ejectutiva. Festival Internacional De Cine Guanajuato.

Participant feedback from advance the pitch event at BFI London Film Festival.

‘I think it’s great that David has created a platform for screenwriters to pitch their work to industry professionals since there are not many opportunities to do this here in the UK in comparison to the US. ‘

‘The calibre and variety of the members of the panel was fantastic, coming from different but equally important perspectives. Well selected!’

‘Overall, everyone was really accommodating to us and generous with their honesty and wisdom.’

‘Thanks for hosting the event we need a lot more of these in the UK as so many filmmakers are running around blind compared to the savviness of the indie US producers I encountered in California when I lived there last year.’
